Terms & Conditions

 

  1. All rentals are based on the availability of the Apartment/Townhouse/Villas with a minimum stay of 2 nights.

 

  1. A rental will only be confirmed upon the payment of a NON-REFUNDABLE* deposit of:

  1. All deposits are non-refundable*, and non-transferable

 

  1. Parties making group bookings 6 months or more in advance of the arrival date will be required to make a deposit of 25% of the total for the stay in order to secure the booking. The remaining 75% of the cost will be split into 3 payments, and a schedule for payment will be agreed upon. Everything must be paid in full 1 week before arrival on property.

 

  1. The balance must be paid in full 1 week prior to arrival at the property.

 

  1. Bookings made less than 1 week prior to arrival at the property must be paid for in full and monies paid in this case are non-refundable*.

 

  1. The resorts reserve the right to assign a different unit of the same type and occupancy as the confirmed unit if the need arises.

 

  1. Each Apartment, Townhouse or villa has a maximum capacity of 8 people per 4-bedroom unit, 6 people per 3-bedroom unit, 4 people per 2-bedroom unit, 2 people per 1- bedroom unit, and two people per studio unit including children over 4 years of age, and is limited to one child as defined above sharing a room with 2 adults.

 

  1. We do not provide extra beds for these children. The property has 1 crib / playpen which can be provided upon request (if it is available).

 

  1. The housekeepers are employed to serve guests according the occupancy of the designated unit only. I.e. the studio- housekeeper is employed to service 2 persons max & the housekeeper in a 3-bedroom unit is employed to service 6 persons max.

 

  1. The housekeepers` hours are from 8 am to 5 pm. Special arrangements have to be made for additional hours and these have to be paid for.

 

  1. If you desire to invite additional guests to the property during your stay, there is a cost involved as additional staff will be employed at your expense. These additional guests will need to bring their own towels if they will be using the beach, pool or hot tub, and you will need to provide plastic plates, cups etc. for them. Their use of the hot tub, and pool, and where applicable the beach must be monitored in so far as overcrowding goes.

 

  1. In the event that rule #8 is not adhered to, the result will be immediate termination of the rental contract with no refund.

 

  1. Check in time is 3pm, and check out time is 11am.

 

  1. The resorts strictly enforce occupancy levels AND check in and check out times.

 

  1. Laundry services are available at an extra cost. These services include washing and ironing. Please see housekeeper regarding the charges.

 

  1. A safe is provided in each unit for the protection of your valuables. In some cases the safes have built in combination locks. In other cases a deposit of JA$1000.00 or US$15.00 must be paid to the housekeeper to obtain the key. The deposit will be returned only when the key is returned to the housekeeper at the end of the visit, and not otherwise.

 

  1. There is a telephone in the office at Silver Palms for the use of guests, if you have a phone card. The telephones in the units are kept locked, and therefore can only be used to receive calls. Please travel with your cellular telephones for your personal use.

 

  1. No illegal drugs are allowed on the properties.

 

  1. No smoking is allowed in the units.

 

  1. No soliciting is allowed in the townhouses, apartments or villas.

 

  1. No animals (with the exception of Seeing Eye dogs) are allowed on the properties.

 

  1. All items found in the units are the personal property of the owners and must not be removed. You are responsible and will have to pay for any damage that you cause to the unit or the contents while you are staying there, as well as for any damage that you cause to the grounds.

  1. You may be asked to pay a refundable security deposit on your booking. This security deposit will be returned to you after you leave the property, only if upon inspection it is found that there is nothing missing or damaged in the unit or units which you occupied.

 

  1. Cannon Villas does not have a pool. Cannon Villas, Silver Palms and Chillin’ are separate entities managed by the same company. It follows that the pools and hot tubs at the respective properties are exclusively for the use of guests staying at those properties, and guests may not trespass onto neighboring properties in order to use their facilities.

 

  1. Pool and house furniture (chairs, tables, cushions) are not allowed in the pool and cannot be taken to the beach.

 

  1. Use of Pool, Hot Tub and Beach:

 

    1. Children under the age of 6 are not permitted to swim in the pool or sea without an adult.

    2. As there is no lifeguard on duty at the pool or beach, all guests swim at their own risk.

    3. The life -saving devices (Tube etc.) are to be used only in cases of emergency and not as pool toys.

    4. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the Hot Tub without an adult.

    5. The pool and hot tub are closed between 11pm and 6am.

    6. Guests must wear proper attire when using the pool. Proper attire includes a swimsuit for women, and bathing trunks for men. Wearing jeans, t-shirts, shoes, plastic shower caps (excluding bathing caps designed for use in a pool) brassieres , panties, boxer shorts and briefs as substitutes for swimming costumes is forbidden.

    7. Adult and infant nudity is not allowed in public areas on the properties, and this includes the swimming pools and hot tubs. .

 

  1. Service charges are not included in the cost of the rental. We ask that you please tip your housekeeper when you are leaving.

 

  1. Please lock or secure your villa, apartment or townhouse at night or when no-one is in the unit.

 

  1. If you plan to have any functions on property including but not limited to reunions, weddings, parties, etc, these MUST be cleared with management when you are making the booking as there are additional costs involved.

 

  1. Please note that the owners and management of Cannon villas, Silver Palms and Chillin' at Old Fort Bay, do not provide any water sports equipment and/or facilities for the use of our guests and/or visitors. We are, therefore, not responsible and will not be liable for any accidents and/or losses sustained by the use of any water sports equipment or facility, on the beach, while staying at, or visiting the property. The use of such equipment is at your own risk.

 

Cancellations & Refunds

 

  1. All deposits are non-refundable*. This excludes the security deposit, which is always refundable after you leave provided that there is nothing missing, or damaged from the unit that you occupied.

 

  1. If notice of cancellation is given up to 30 days prior to arrival, and the booking has been paid for in full, and provided that management is able to book the confirmed unit to another party then 40% of the balance (which excludes the non-refundable deposit) may be refunded.

 

  1. If notice of cancellation is given between 29 and 15 days prior to arrival, and the booking has been paid for in full, and provided that management is able to book the confirmed unit to another party, then 20% of the balance (which excludes the non-refundable deposit) may be refunded.

  1. If notice of cancellation is given 14 days or less prior to arrival and the booking has been paid for in full, no refund will be given.

*All deposits are non-refundable. Should the properties be destroyed by hurricane, the deposit will be held by us and applied toward any future booking.
